Thank you so much for supporting The Offcut, the brainchild of Merryana Salem, Rachel Choy, and Reena Gupta. We’re all journalists of colour from Australia/Aotearoa and we love thinking about movies, TV, and internet trends.

As non-white people, we have suffered problematic Australian workplaces where we were penalised for speaking up about racism and bias against Palestine. We wanted to create a place where we could publish articles on our terms, rather on the terms of white editors who claim to be progressive but quietly enact white supremacy behind the scenes.

At The Offcut, we are unashamedly critical of the world that we inhabit, but hopefully in a way that is fun. Go Fug Yourself called us “cranky and interesting”, which is probably us to a tee.
